Are you looking for a fun but meaningful way to share your skills?   We have volunteer positions available that may just be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.  And with your help we will be able to ensure the Kanata Dance continues.

We need someone to take on some of our administration duties, as our Board Secretary.  Working as an integral member of our team, you would be attending board meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, sending emails, keeping records, etc.  This work would entail several hours every month, and would require strong computer skills and good organizational skills.

We would like our dance to have greater attendance, and so we're looking for someone to fill a new Communications/ Promotion position on our board team.  We hope to find a creative, energetic person who would take on the role of increasing our social media presence in the dance community, promoting the dance with other groups, and possibly some advertising.  This work would require computer skills and strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work on a team.  In addition, we'd like to hear some ideas for making our dances more attractive to a younger clientele, to ensure sustainability for the future.

We are also looking for a new Treasurer, our current Treasurer is willing to provide training in how to oversee the financial management of the KDC, using bookkeeping software, writing cheques, counting and depositing cash, reporting to the board, etc.

All positions would require attendance at monthly board meetings, which are currently online.
